Sachet Packaging & Roll Film Printing Malaysia
Sachet roll film is pre-printed laminate supplied on rolls and fed straight into an automatic form-fill-seal machine, which forms the sachet, fills it and seals it in one continuous pass. It is how single-serve coffee, sauces, seasonings, cosmetics and supplements are packed at volume.
Because the film arrives as one continuous roll rather than as pre-made pouches, the machine never stops to reload — which is where most of the cost saving comes from.
Sachet Packaging Formats We Print
Stick packs — narrow and tall, suited to instant coffee, drink premixes and powdered supplements.
Standard sachets — a wider format, suited to sauces, condiments, shampoos and creams.
Both come from the same roll film. The format is set by your filling machine.
Roll Form Packaging and Why It Costs Less to Run
Roll form packaging saves money in three places: storage, because a roll takes a fraction of the space of the equivalent pre-made pouches; transport, for the same reason; and machine downtime, because a continuous roll means fewer reload stops per shift. For high-volume single-serve products this usually outweighs every other packaging decision.
Sachet Roll Film Materials
We print sachet roll film on four laminate types:
- Aluminium foil — the highest barrier against light, oxygen and moisture, for coffee, spices and anything that degrades on the shelf
- Metallised film — a metallic finish with strong barrier properties at lower cost than foil
- PET film — strong and dimensionally stable, with excellent print clarity
- Nylon film — tough and puncture-resistant, for products with sharp or abrasive contents
